Parish Council Notes
- New Archbishop Robert Casey. Remind people to be hopeful and get to know him and receive him.
- Lenten Challenge: Technology fast- Hopefully creating more time for family and prayer time.
- Feedback on Sunday Mass Schedule Change?
- St. Wendelin: happy to have something back and they like the time frame
- St. Aloysius: had good numbers as well.
- St. Henry High Mass: Overpowering incense, Fr. Hess will do some research on charcoal and type of incense.
- Administrative Update:
- Jenny Miller is the new Parish Life Coordinator for St. Bernard
- Reviewed Parish Council bylaws & signed them
- Finance Update:
- There's a rumor going around regarding a nativity set. To clarify, the Archdiocese gifted a very old indoor nativity set that needs major repair. A gentleman from Celina is offering to refinish it (may take a few years to complete). The nativity will be staying in St. Henry because it came from St. Henrich "Henry" Church from Cincinnati.
- Buildings & Grounds:
- St. Bernard Church was struck by lightning & blew out a light fixture. Two companies are coming in to assess damage. An insurance claim was filed with the archdiocese.
- St. Bernard Church's sound system: we're working with a new sound company to keep the back-feed & issues of the like resolved. Other issues are that the fans are loud and tend to muffle sound.
