Parish Council Notes  

• Priest: Sacraments/Liturgy/Mass:
  • Altar server discussion
  • All ministry needs in general are high, especially for Saturday evening Mass
• Prophet: Evangelization:
  • Christmas gift to parish - "What Christians Believe" by Bishop Barron
  • Reviewed plans for St. Martins Day (Martinstag)
  • Hallow App Opportunity - decided to wait until new Director of Evangelization can take this on
  • Hoping to increase participation in Fratres in Christo (specific group for boys)
  • CYO/Small Groups - should there be 2 church events on the same night at the same time? Making kids choose?
• King: Administrative Update/Governess/Finance
  
  • Updated the meeting cadence to meet more frequently for pastoral council
  • Finances:
    • Q1 income has met expectations for this time of year (approx 19% of budgeted)
      • Holidays tend to bring in larger amounts of collection which is hoped to close the gap
    • Q1 expenses also met expectations as well (approx 24% of budgeted)
    • St. Bernard window fundraising update: goal is to raise the funds needed for phase 1 by end of November. 
  • Staffing:
    • Reviewing applicants for Director of Evangelization
  • Buildings & Grounds:
    • St. Aloysius has automatic door locks now (like St. Wendelin)
    • St. Henry spouting was replaced, resolved bee issue & tuckpointing
    • CCD Center toilet was replaced
    • Intending to purchase 1 acre of land to expand the St. Bernard Cemetery
    • Snow Removal plan for the winter throughout the parish
      • Show the cost, share the tools available, make direct calls to gain more volunteer help.
